Art from my couch!

Here's some art I made while sitting on my couch eating chips. I love learning photoshop for hours every day. I try to teach myself techniques and save samples and textures and reuse them and just try to make uninteresting photos look more interesting.

I made this dress from magazine clippings and tried to photograph it. It got a little blurry but it was perfect for

I don't love this one but I was kindof into the concept. More editing to come.

 Lines?!

Making photoshop art feels good and although I'm not in love with most of the pieces I had a fun time experimenting.
Keep making everyday//

My latest inspirations and warm weather feel good photos

This week I was absolutely thrilled with so many editorials I had the pleasure of viewing on one of my favorite blogs, Fashion Gone Rogue, as well as what crossed my path via blogs and things. Here are some of my favorite things I have seen!
The gradient on this works perfectly. Something I'd like to try for my own photos!

Redheads in dust blue. Who knew, really?

This photo and the next are probably my favorite of recent editorials

You can see these photos here: Doingbird
And I really suggest you check them out because they're awesome

Always rep bands in vintage t-shirts.

I love everyone's clothes in this photo and would love more than anything to attend the next one of these parties where pants are optional but looking fabulous is required.

There's just something cool about this

The turban always rules!

Terry Richardson makes it sexy always

that skirt

I went totally nuts over this one. Thank god the 60's will never go out of style

It'll probably take a whole lot more practice but I'm going to make photoshop pieces that are this cool one day.

This shoot was absolutely beautiful

Can't wait until the weather is warm enough that I can wear my leather jacket

Found this gem via Holly and Charlotte's awesome blog Faking Fashion. Check it out!!

More inspiration is always coming my way. I'm so impressed with the world and its' fashion sense (sometimes) and recent photography. Gotta share it.

Some older photos of a few of my favorite things

These are some photos taken by my lovely friend Elizabeth Kreitschman for her portfolio. She was kind enough to take some more detailed photos of some of my clothes for me! I think she did an awesome job.

This is a close up of a brown suede jacket that was given to me by my mom. It was something she had for a long time and used to wear while motorcycling with my dad.

In this photo, you can see my favorite 1950's-1960's style bathing suit with the awesome pattern on it, as well as a pair of 90's wooden platform shoes.  I got this bathing suit when I was about 15 and I loved it so much, I was inspired to expand my collection of clothing.

Love these photos! Thanks Liz. You can view her work at http://www.flickr.com/photos/ekreitschmann/
 Check her out!

Some recent purchases!

So I went shopping yesterday with my mom, which is one of my favorite things to do when I go home. It seems to be the only thing that makes me forget my awful karma and crazy stressful life and really just lets me escape. It felt awesome, I got cool things, and some of my anxiety about life and the world faded away for a while. Thanks mom.
Here are some things I got:
oversized white knitted hat:$2
lion t-shirt:$1
studded leather cowboy boots:$6
mustard yellow spandex pants:$3

All of these things together make a really fun outfit that I'm psyched to wear to go somewhere silly!

Also,  I just wanted to post a photo of my beautiful sister, Jessie, who is moving to Minnesota tomorrow to be part of an Americorps program, helping kids learn how to camp and do fun, interesting things!
I will miss her so much in these next ten months and I know she's going to be fabulous!
love you jessie!
